I just read an article about the TraveLodge Chain of hotels..and a problem  with naked sleepwalkers.mostly men.....some comments from other readers  condemned people who choose to sleep in the nude....as a moral defect....and the Hotel Chain has taken to keeping towels at the front desk for the offenders to cover up with upon awakening ,and how it is a "serious situation" to be dealt with strongly.....now...while I would be very surprised at the sight....I wouldn't be fearful for my life....(I don't think)....below is a reply I sent......I would love to hear other friends opinions on this...among the many many comments posted in response,.There was a comment about kids viewing naked sleepwalkers, and how it would devastate them, and  the poster said anyone who sleeps naked is insane....comment please....I was laughing at the serious tone and outright ridiculousness of some people's opinions......the fact that it generated so many comments was funny.

Sleep in the nude?...of course...why not?....I have to wear clothing all day....oh...I also swim in the nude...on some friday nights (a private indoor pool)...And as often as possible in the summer in the lake.People in this country are very uptight about naked bodies.Our puritanical roots I guess....there is nothing shameful about a human body...big,small, over or under endowed, scarred,stretch marks, birth marks....hey..it's simply skin!!! and for those concerned about kids viewing naked hotel guests...I am wondering why the kids would be up in the middle of the night, in a situation to view the sleepwalkers to begin with.I am sure some folks check in late,but...c'mon... in that situation...laugh it off, and point if you want to...say "wow...he must be  really cold!!" or some other humerous comment (no need to be cruel) and let it go.Let's not train another generation to be ashamed of their natural bodies...we are all beautiful.Being comfortable in our own skin (literally) is a blessing.We all came into the world naked,and when we did, everyone was thrilled...no one said..."oops..quick...get that kid dressed....they're naked.....what will people think?"
Relax,go with the flow and enjoy being skyclad once in awhile.It's very liberating,a great way to connect with the Infinite and the ultimate equalizer.There's no where to hang an expensive phone or Ipod on a naked person!!!
BUT... be sensible..I wouldn't  really care to see naked people in the grocery store...just a health issue! and be aware, there are probably some who use being naked (purposely exposing themselves) as an "in " for more sinister desires...so always teach kids to be aware of their surroundings and follow intuition.Kids have an innate sense when someone means them harm....encourage that intuitive gift, but don't ever scare them into thinking that the naked body is an offensive thing...Instill the fact that we are all created equally...we all have skin and "private" parts....no big deal....
so...off to bed...on smooth cotton sheets...skyclad.

Here in upstate NY along lake Ontario,we are preparing for not only the Holidays, but a HUGE winter storm....an honest to goodness  BLIZZARD!!!...we are expecting upwards of 24 inches of heavy wet snow and add to that  the  holiday shopping frenzy...things are CRAZY!!!!!! the grocery store was OUT of stuff....never seen that before.Anyway...here in our safe cozy home,my family and I will ride out whatever Mother Nature has to send our way.I welcome a big snowstorm.The kind that shuts down EVERYTHING!...It brings everyone back to basic needs and wants.Family,community,food,warmth and protection from the elements.Everyone gets a chance to step back,and see what is really important...helping people just because you can,a friendly smile to a fellow human trying to shovel out, pure joy when you see untrodden snow blanketing everything in sight....thanking the God and Goddess for the very simple things... enough food to share with others, an extra shovel for a neighbor.....the vulnerability of being contolled by the weather....all are chances to reconnect with ourselves and the God and Goddess.
